The LX-18A V2 features our award-winning
light-weight digital amplifier and is built
specifically for those who require long-throw
subs but still want the convenience and
sound advantages of an active system.
The B-52 LX-18A V2 is powered by our
1200-watt digital amplifier. The 6 lbs amplifier
draws less than 12 amps of electricity (at
full volume) and has the ability to power
the LX-18 V2. The LX-18A V2 includes all
the features needed in an active subwoofer:
24 dB/octave electronic crossover, a compressor/
limiter, subsonic filter, phase switch and
both full-range and high-pass outputs. |

is more than 93% efficient,
draws less power than conventional
amplifiers and therefore
generates less heat. Less

POWERS
ADDITIONAL PASSIVE SUBWOOFER
The B-52 LX-18A V2 is designed
to power an additional
passive sub. The passive
subwoofer (LX-18 V2) has the same physical dimensions as the LX-18A V2. Connecting
the active subwoofer to an additional passive subwoofer increases the amplifier’s
available power output from 800 to 1200 watts. |

frame, 200 oz magnet structure,
double spider anti-rocking
surround, a bumped back plate
for greater excursion and
4” dual-layered tempered

is wound with 4 layers of 25-gauge copper wire, optimally sized for this motor. |

INTERNAL
COMPRESSION CHAMBER
The B-52
18” subwoofer’s
acoustic load is controlled
by a specially designed
horn and compression
chamber that minimizes
the excursion of the
driver while maximizing
the system's output.
The optimally-sized acoustic
aperture of the compression
chamber forms the throat
of the horn and helps
to force air through
the horn at an increased
velocity and pressure.
The compression chamber
optimizes the horn's
output and the acoustic
impedance seen by the
B-52 18-200L transducer.
It is this acoustic impedance
transforming “phase-plug”
design that enables
the LX-Series subwoofers
to achieve amazing
and unprecedented output
