 The
B-52 LX-1818A V2 is designed for mobile
music professionals. They combine the advantage
of a long throw folded horn design with
the power and reliability of B-52's digital
amplification.
A 24 dB / octave electronic crossover, compressor and hard limiter are
built into the amplifier allowing these subwoofers to easily patch into an
existing system with just a pair of XLR input cables. These roadworthy cabinets
feature scratch-resistant carpet finish and will withstand the abuse of the road.
The new B-52 18-200X subwoofer provides increased power handling and efficiency.
The B-52 LX-1818A V2 is perfect for mobile DJs and touring sound professionals
that require tremendous bass output with the convenience of an active system.
It delivers 1200 watts of thundering bass that will resonate all the way to the
back of your venue. Precision-placed internal dividers allow each subwoofer to
fire into the central chamber without cancellation. Each subwoofer is housed
in separate compression chambers, resulting in kick-ass, earth-shaking bass.

The B-52
18” subwoofer’s
acoustic load is controlled
by a specially designed
horn and compression
chamber that minimizes
the excursion of the
driver while maximizing
the system's output.
The optimally-sized acoustic
aperture of the compression
chamber forms the throat
of the horn and helps
to force air through
the horn at an increased
velocity and pressure.
The compression chamber
optimizes the horn's
output and the acoustic
impedance seen by the
B-52 18-200L transducer.
It is this acoustic impedance
transforming “phase-plug”
design that enables
